- •URLs you shorten and their associated short codes

Data Retention and Privacy
Progressive Data Obfuscation
We implement a privacy-first approach to data retention:
After 30 days
Detailed analytics data (user agents and browser information) is automatically obfuscated and replaced with generic values. This protects user privacy while maintaining basic click count statistics.
After 90 days
Complete analytics records are permanently deleted from our system. Only aggregate click counts remain.
Link Activity Confirmation
- •Every 3 months, we ask users to confirm if they still need their shortened links
- •If you confirm "Yes", the 3-month timer resets from that date
- •If you confirm "No" or don't respond, the link and all associated data will be deleted
Link Limits
- •Each user can create a maximum of 5 shortened links
- •To create new links after reaching the limit, you must delete existing links
Account Deletion
- •You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page
- •Account deletion permanently removes all your links and associated analytics data
- •This action cannot be undone
Data Security
All passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. Optional link passwords are also securely hashed. We never store passwords in plain text, and we use industry-standard encryption practices to protect your data.
Automated Cleanup
Our system runs automated cleanup processes daily to ensure compliance with our data retention policies. These processes are secured with authentication tokens and run on Vercel's infrastructure to maintain data privacy and security.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- •Access all data we have collected about you
- •Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- •Modify or delete individual links and their analytics
- •Export your data (contact us for data export requests)
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
